The case that became known as the Goose Green Stabbing is one of the most bizarre (and fascinating) true crime stories I’ve ever heard.

Blending fact with fiction, the story almost doesn’t even seem real. It involves international spies, complex catfishing, diabolical manipulation, and violent stabbing.

This is the story of the boy who masterminded his own murder.

The Ghost Man Who Stabbed Him

On June 29th, 2003, two teenage boys—John and Mark—strolled through an alleyway known locally as Goose Green.

What was about to happen would shock even veteran law enforcement officers.

In the middle of Goose Green alley, someone brutally attacked John. He felt a knife first stab into his stomach and then plunge six inches into his chest. He thought he was going to die.

Approximately 20 minutes later, Mark called the police and claimed that a madman had stabbed his friend.

When the police asked Mark to describe the attacker, Mark said that the man was probably in his early twenties and wore a dark-colored hoodie and jeans. Understandably, the local England town went into panic mode searching for this unidentified man stabbing…
