Thank you! On medium, I write about all sorts of things and I think that's fine. If you're going to start a self-hosted blog on your own website, I would stick to one niche as much as possible for the first hundred to 300 blog posts at least. And then I wouldn't stray too far from the main topic even after that milestone.
