I agree with you that Medium is not great for getting clients.

I'm actually not talking about getting clients at all. Clients are not my main focus. I'm talking about making money from Medium (reader engagement) and also a personal website (display ads and affiliate links). Yes, that takes time but it is more sustainable in the long run than chasing clients - in my experience.
