I wish I could say that I could pinpoint exactly what worked for me. But I’ve always thrown a bag of tricks at my obsessive thoughts.

One of my former therapists said that if I could bottle up the magic that helped me I could be a millionaire.

I’ve definitely practiced deep breathing, meditation, prayer, affirmations, and a whole lot of acceptance.

I think one of the biggest mental hurdles for me was accepting that “not every bird that flew over me had to build a nest on my head".

In other words, I don’t have to give a lot attention to any random or stray thought. I can just acknowledge it and let it pass.

It’s such a simple idea, really. But it changed my life.
