I don't know if I have any tricks, but I definitely wrote on a bunch of topics when I first started, followed all the rules, and then studied my analytics to see what earned me the most money. For me, that's articles about writing and sex. lol. So that's why I write so many articles on these topics. Some smaller, niche publications can also do well. I aim to write clickable titles and interesting/entertaining/helpful articles. Then I also interlink my articles at the bottom of each post and include a referral link so that, over time, I earn some recurring referral income.
