Going To Sea: My Cruise Leaves Soon
A note to my readers
I don’t often take trips, but I hope that will change in the near future. Soon, I’m going to Sea, which is a fun thing to say.
It seems so “old world.”
I’m taking my two kids on their first cruise and their first foray out of the country. This makes me exceedingly proud and excited!
As a kid, travel opened my eyes to the larger world, showing me that my limited perceptions and experiences were just that — limited.
Now I get to give my kids that same experience.
There is something beautiful about seeing the world.
There is something lovely in the idea of being on the open sea like so many people before me, about looking out and seeing nothing but endless water.
I’ve never been on a cruise either so I’m very curious about what it will be like.
My guess is that I’ll love it.
If you notice that I’m a little less present on the platform for a few days, now you know why.
